Also this year, there was a large participation for the Open Day of  the Turin waste-to-energy plant, in collaboration with Amiat Gruppo Iren.

More than 250 citizens have visited the plant on 9 june and have learned more about the integrated waste cycle in Turin.  There were also four new Amiat waste collection vehicles, including a latest generation electric vehicle and three compactors.

All visitors, guided by TRM and Amiat technicians, were first taken to the conference room for a brief explanation about the waste management in the Metropolitan City of Turin and, then, they have visited the actual waste-to-energy plant.
